Letters of Inquiry
We are no longer accepting Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) for the 2008 funding year.
If you would like to be considered for 2009 funding, please refer to the criteria and time line below.
Please review the Prison Program goals and criteria. If you believe your work matches our criteria, please answer the following questions in no more than two pages:
• What is the purpose of your organization?
• What are the changes you seek to bring about?
• For what work do you seek funding?
• How will this work bring about the changes you seek?
• What is the organization’s total budget? If funding is for a project, what is the project budget?
Please do not send additional materials that we have not requested at this time.

2009 Prison Program Funding Timeline
March 2009
Letters of inquiry may be submitted at any time, preferably by March 15 to
be considered for 2009 funding.
April 2009
An invitation to submit a proposal will be sent to selected applicants in April.
June 2009
Completed applications must be postmarked by our June 15th deadline.
October 2009
We intend to notify you about the FNV response to your funding request by October.
